Ms. Jenner

Norma Jenner has been at Villa Academy since 2000 (left for two years, but came back!), working in the role that has evolved into “Academic and Student Life Coordinator”. In addition to helping with school logistics behind the scenes, she helps coordinate social-emotional learning and experiential student programs including the Middle School Advisory program, outdoor programs, community service, Student Council, Ski Bus, Student Emergency Response Team, Green Team, and coaches volleyball and ultimate frisbee. She has also founded and served on numerous committees fostering institutional growth, including Diversity & Inclusion, Community Life, Safety, and Outdoor Learning.

Ms. Jenner is passionate about helping young people grow as authentic and compassionate community members empowered to share their personal gifts for greater good. She has over 20 years of experience instructing school age students in a variety of settings, specializing in student centered social emotional learning, service, and leadership development. She holds a bachelors degree in Urban, Social, and Political Geography from the University of Washington, has completed graduate coursework in School Counseling at Seattle University, and maintains Wilderness First Aid certification.

Ms. Jenner loves spending time in the woods at her tiny house on Hood Canal, doing all kinds of crafty projects, playing the ukulele, and learning something new every day.
